North Report,
North Group Two
Thursday 26th June

Salesbury v Whalley
This clash would decide the qualifiers and placings in this Group.
A Salesbury win would make them Group Winners and a home Quarter Final tie and would eliminate Whalley, with Baxenden placed as runners up, a Whalley win would make them Group Winners.
Whalley won the toss and elected to field.
Salesbury lost the heavy scoring Garnett Tarr for 4 in the first over, Stuart Crabtree taking a spectacular catch in the gully off veteran Richard Palmer. Toby Furbush 24 and Liam Parkinson 11 got the score up to 39. However, they fell from 39-1 to 47-6, including a hat trick for Luke Reynolds. Connor Nel made 18 but was the only other batsman to make double figures as Salesbury were all out for just 72 in 18 overs. Luke Reynolds had 4-13 and Tom Newton 3 wickets for just 1 run.
Any thoughts of a nail biting reply were quickly removed with a 43 run opening partnership between Frankie Jackson 19 and Levi Wolfenden 27.
Stuart Crabtree took Whalley over the line with 23 not out as Whalley won comfortably by 8 wickets and 8 overs to spare.
Cherry Tree v Oswaldtwistle
Cherry Tree won the toss and elected to bat.
They were quickly reduced to 1-2, with both Charlie Elwood and Mo Bhada being dismissed for none. Owen Elwood made 38 and took the score to 68. Ziyad Bhada was joined by Mark Hadfield and they put on an unbeaten 74 for the 4th wicket. Bhada ended on 67 not out and Hadfield 23 not out in a total of 142-3.
In reply only Luke Sirianni with 55 made any significant contribution in a total of 122- 6 to give Cherry Tree a win by 20 runs. Andreas Sudnik took 2-15 off his four overs,
This result completed the Quarter Final line up.
