Feniscowles 2nd v Barnoldswick 2nd
Feniscowles batted first and scored a very impressive 308-7, Reza Hussan made 68 and Amaan Ughradar 55, Barnoldswick were not helped by conceding 63 extras including 51 wides.
In reply to such a huge total, Mozzam Basat 37, David Scothern 22 and William Jacques 26 contributed to a total of 149 all out, Ughrada taking 3-26, in a 159 run victory.
Baxenden 2nd v Astley Bridge 2nd
Astley Bridge won the toss and elected to bat looking to take advantage of an excellent wicket and fast outfield. James Northrop made 74, Zain Butt 45 and Robert Hitchen 31 as they piled up 279-9. Harrison Schofield took 3-43.
In reply, scoreboard pressure was there from the start, Adam Nawaz 26, Toby Gouldthorpe 31 and Harry Hindle 29 all got starts but the rate continued to rise and Baxenden were all out for 160, Alex Lowe took 3-34 in a 119 run win for Astley Bridge.
Blackrod 2nd v Oswaldtwistle 2nd
Blackrod batted first and opener Ben Jones with 45 ensured they got off to a good start. However they collapsed to 95-6. George Purdham made 40 to enable Blackrod to post the respectable score of 164-9. Usman Arif took 5-40.
Oswaldtwistle’s reply never got going, only Maqsood Burondkar 16 and Ash Mahmood 24 made double figures as they were bowled out for 69. Purdham continued with his Man of the Match performance taking 5-14, in a 95 run win.
Burnley Belvedere 1st v Barrowford 1st
In the local derby, Barrowford batted first and made 149 aal out in 34 overs, Abid Ul Wahab 41, Ansar Mahmood 36 and Karim Khan 31. There were three wickets each for Majid Khan and Hamid Zaman.
In reply, Belvedere were reduced to 43-5, Majid Khan kept them in with a chance making 52, but they were bowled out for 125 giving Barrowford a 24 run win. Adnan Khalid took 3-15 and Ansar Mahmood 2-20.
