NWCL Conference Divisions by Ray Taylor
Barrowford lead the Anthony Axford North West Cricket League Conference Premier Division with 77 points from seven matches. On Saturday S Rashid contributed a half century to their 225 all out. He then took 4-46 as Foulridge were dismissed for 155.
Walkden are second, ten points adrift having played the same number of games. From thirty without loss, Ribblesdale Wanderers were bowled out for 61, Adil Sajad with 7-27. Jack Fielding briefly kept Wanderers in the game with 4-24 but Walkden went on to win by six wickets.
Burnley Belvedere went from 91-4 to 95 all out, Harry Stevenson 3-2 and Daniel Lord 3-6. However, this was more than enough, Zain Hashmi 4-20 in Cherry Tree’s 78.
Fifty seven for Grant Mason-Plant helped Farnworth Social Circle to 186, then Farnworth replied with 97, Luke Glover 3-15.
Simon Harrison and Louis Partington took three wickets each in Salesbury’s 137. At 99-8 Lever were in a bit of trouble, but passed their target without further loss, Euan Clark 4-47.
In the second division, Feniscowles have 77 points from eight, and Baxenden 73 from the same number.
J Callaghan took 5-28 in Burnley Belvedere’s 128, which Feniscowles overtook for the loss of four wickets.
Nicholas Ford recorded figures of 5-37 in Baxenden’s 147, but then Henry Hindle’s 5-29 left Lostock 22 runs short.
Declan Metcalf had a good day taking 4-35 and hitting 52 in Padiham’s 94 run win over Astley Bridge. Rhys Meehan scored 64 and Harsh Verna took 3-6.
Another all round performance came from Eagley’s Sam Hall, scoring 69 and taking 4-34 in Eagley eighteen run victory against Blackrod.
Oswaldtwistle Immanuel lead the way in the third division, 84 points from eight, Tonge 72 from eight and Earby 72 from seven.
Alex Hall had 4-32 in Oswaldtwistle’s 164, but Nadeem Aslam’s 3-8 helped dismiss Earby for 109.
Harry Naylor’s 3-10 helped restrict Chatburn to 104, but Tonge lost seven wickets overtaking this total, losing four between 90 and 97.
Z Ali provided the highest score of the day, 91 out of Barrowford’s 210. M Rauf was unlucky to finish on the losing side taking 4-32 and hitting 42 in Foulridge’s 95, K Muhammad, H Nasir and A Ahad sharing nine wickets equally.
Hamidullah Stanikzai (90) and Harvey Wild (54) were the main contributors in Kearsley’s 305-6. Feniscowles then replied with 158, losing in the last over having lost four wickets without scoring, Said Oryakhil 5-27.

Farnworth Social Circle have reached the final on the Lancashire Cricket Foundation’s Under 15 KO.
On Tuesday they totalled 144-4 from their 20 overs, M Sheikh, R Riaz, T Carruthers and I Tabassum all scoring in their twenties. Great Harwood were 134-2 and required ten runs from their last two overs, but five wickets fell for eight runs giving Circle victory by two runs, M Hermain taking 4-25.

Last Saturday a century partnership between Aziz Iqbal (83) and Ather Waheed (71) set them on their way to 237. Ulfat Ali (6-19) and Abid Ul Wahab (3-25) helped dismiss Ribblesdale Wanderers for 105.
James Cuff and Alex Fenwick took four wickets each in Farnworth’s 123, Cherry Tree going on to win by three wickets despite Tom Speak’s 4-49.
Foulridge recovered from 105-7 to reach 248, Abid Hussain hitting a 58 ball eighty at number nine, Aashif Ghantiwala 6-70. Umer Ishaq with 124 steered Farnworth S.C. to a four wicket win, supported by a half century from Grant Mason-Platt.
B Woodall and O Watson both recorded half centuries in Read’s 250-8, but Little Lever passed this for the loss of five wickets, J Whitehead 84 and M Daley 72.
Faqir Mohammad and Nauman Mushtaq shared eight wickets equally as Salesbury were bowled out for 211. Harry Vause’s 4-30 and Charlie Mahoney’s 4-30 left Burnley Belvedere 150 short.
Feniscowles lead the second division with 65 points from seven. Their 276 was achieved without anyone hitting a half century. B Fisher’s 67 helped Lostock to 124-2, but their response ended at 193, C Bleasdale 4-50.
Baxenden lie second with 61 from seven. Henry Hindle was their top scorer with 56 out of their 231. Atherton were handily positioned at 152-5 but only another 24 runs followed, M Nadeem 4-35.
Eagley’s captain Sam Hall steered them to 97-1 with 63 runs, but the innings closed on 146, Ramesh Patel 5-35 and Alex Lowe 4-24. Zahid Butt’s 84 assisted Astley Bridge to a six wicket win.
J Grey’s 5-37 helped restrict Barnoldswick to 124, then C Thorne fell just short of his century in a ten wicket 14 over win for Padiham.
Matt Gillick took 5-45 in Blackrod’s 204-9, Noah Ashworth 61. Steven Hawke’s 96 was in vain as Brinscall reached 178, Ashworth finishing a good day with 5-42.
In the second division Earby are still top with 72 points from six matches, Oswaldtwistle Immanuel have the same number having played one more. Obaid Khan struck 57 for Kearsley out of 125, Zameer Hussain and Waseem Hussain four wickets each, as Oswaldtwistle won by six wickets.
R Muhammed and H Nasir took three wickets apiece in Chatburn’s ninety, which was overtaken by Barrowford for the loss of one wicket.
Rob Tully with 4-17 helped reduce Feniscowles from 144-3 to 163 all out. A first wicket partnership of 140 between Umair Ali and Syed Ahmed gave Tonge a nine wicket win.
