Several matches fell foul of the weather in the Anthony Axford Conference first division. Michael Daley’s 57 helped Little Lever to 221-7, then Louis Partington took 3-23 as Farnworth Social Circle were dismissed for 60. Mohsin Rubbani had 5-33 and Rizwan Pervez 3-23 to help bowl Farnworth out for 140. Walkden were handily placed at 98-5 but Aasim Khan took 4-34 as they ended fourteen runs adrift.
In the second division, Ian Nuttall recorded figures of 4-32 and Tom Mather 3-4 in Feniscowles 73. Atherton overtook this for the loss of six wickets, Haany Nazir 4-19. Cameron Thorne hit a century in Padiham’s 216. Blackrod responded with an opening stand of 43, but were only able to add just over a hundred more runs with Declan Metcalf 4-36.
In the third division Barrowford seconds slumped from 52-1 to 84 all out, Chris Mulhern 7-28. Mark Nerenberg then steered Chatburn to a three wicket win with 39 not out. Kearsley were reduced from 35 without loss to 65 all out, Lucas Lockley 5-23 and Max Nutter 4-2. The game was well balanced with Earby 52-7, but they reached their target without losing another wicket. There was a half century for Maneeb Alam in Oswaldtwistle’s 135-6, then Foulridge were dismissed for 57, Waseem Hussain 3-2.
