Anthony Axford NWCL Conference Round-Up Weekend 17 May

In the Anthony Axford Conference Premier division, Farnworth’s Aaqib Javid (87) and Rizwan Pervez (88) produced a partnership of 170 in their team’s 274. Cherry Tree were then dismissed for 169, Mehr Khan 3-13 and Simon Harrison 4-42.
There was a second century partnership in Feniscowles’ 240-9, with Chris Bleasdale and Matthew Caddick reaching their seventies, Jack Stones taking 5-47 for Salesbury who began well reaching 150-3 but being dismissed for 224 with Joe Callaghan 4-43.
Rhys Meehan with a century and Raheen Hussain continued the trend, Padiham totaling 214, Ethan Hewart with 3-21. Little Lever won the match losing two wickets in the process. Joe Capstick 77.
A fourth century partnership (142) came from Read’s Mohammed Zakriyah and Oliver Dinning, 79 and 73 respectively, then Elliot Lowes struck the only century of the day in the division with 124 not out. Liam Ashworth and Daniel Hughes contributed half centuries as Farnworth Social Circle reached 190-3, but Jamie Woodall’s 5-66 contributed to them being dismissed for 257.
In the final game Walkden’s Imran Ali took 6-23 in Barrowford’s 118, but Ather Waheed bettered this with 7-29 as Walkden ended thirteen runs adrift.
In the second division, Tim Drugan had 4-42 and Nacha Dowling 3-24 as Brinscall ended their innings 188-8, which Baxenden overcame for the loss of seven wickets.
Imran Qamer’s century provided the backbone in Foulridge’s 314-9, Bilal Patel 4-73. James Cooper was Astley Bridge’s main contributor providing 75 of their 244-9.
Aaron Patel and Nick Ford shared eight wickets equally in Burnley Beldevere’s 209-9. Lostock were well placed at 80-1 but finished 189 all out as Umair Saadat recorded figures of 4-47.
In the closest match of the day, Muhammad Azmat took 5-40 in Oswaldtwistle’s 135, Barnoldswick going on to win by one wicket, Zameer Hussain 4-24.
Waqas Khan took half the wickets as Blackrod were dismissed for 91. Three wickets each for Tony Topping and Lucas Ashworth had Ribblesdale Wanderers in a spot of trouble at 34-6, but they recovered to win by two wickets.
In the third division Tom Johnson’s half century provided almost half Foulridge’s seconds 119, Tajmal Hussain 5-20, Barrowford seconds going on to win by five wickets.
Mark Nerenberg hit a half century in Chatburn’s 202, Max Nutter 3-30. Chris Mulhearn also took three wickets but Earby won the contest by five wickets.
Will Owen contributed 56 in Eagley’s 231, Harry Naylor taking 3-18 for Tonge who were then bowled out for 79 (Freddy Todd 4-22 and Seb Wilcox 3-18).
Feniscowles 112 was easily overtaken by Whalley, losing just two wickets in the process. Before tea Ethan Ditchfield had taken 4-29.
Atherton’s 132 was 61 too many for Kearsley.
